Abstract

Provided are a solar battery module that is both flexible and durable, and a production method therefor. This solar battery module 10 includes: a plurality of solar battery cells 11 that are aligned in a single row with gaps therebetween; tab wires 12 that electrically connect adjacent solar battery cells 11; a pair of cover films 13F, 13B that sandwich the solar battery cells 11 from a light reception side 11F and a back side 11B; and a sealing material 14 that is interposed between the pair of cover films 13F, 13B and the solar battery cells 11 and tab wires 12, and fills the space between the pair of cover films 13F, 13B. Groove-shaped link parts 15F, 15B that are recessed in the thickness direction Z on one or both sides are formed between adjacent solar battery cells 11 such that the recesses are substantially orthogonal to the alignment direction X of the solar battery cells 11. The thickness of the sealing material 14 at the link parts 15F, 15B is less than the thickness of the sealing material 14 elsewhere.
