AI Technical Summary
Technical Problem
Existing silicone gels face challenges in achieving high adhesion to substrates due to the lack of chemical bonding and are prone to swelling in organic solvents, making them unsuitable for applications involving organic solvent components.
Method used
A primer coating is developed using a co-hydrolysis-condensation polymerization product of organic silane and metal alkoxide, containing a hydrosilyl group as a backbone component, which forms a polysiloxane skeleton with exposed unsaturated groups to enhance adhesion.
Benefits of technology
The primer coating improves the adhesion of silicone gel layers to various substrates, including organic and inorganic materials, providing excellent adhesion and resistance to organic solvents.

Abstract
To provide a primer film for improving adhesion between a silicone gel layer and a base material, and a silicone gel composite body which is excellent in adhesion.SOLUTION: A primer film for forming a silicone gel layer containing a silicone resin and silicone oil on a surface of a base material contains a cohydrolysis-condensation polymerization product of organic silane and metal alkoxide, wherein the organosilane is organosilane which is represented by the following formula (1) and contains an unsaturated group, and the metal alkoxide is tetraalkoxysilane represented by the following formula (2). Formula (1): CH2=CH-R1-Si-(OR2)3. In the formula, R1 represents an alkylene group having 1 to 10 carbon atoms, and R2 represents an alkyl group that has 1 to 4 carbon atoms and may be the same or different. Formula (2): Si(OR3)4. In the formula, R3 represents an alkyl group that has 1 to 4 carbon atoms and may be the same or different.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
