Abstract
The arithmetic device is configured to include a contraction unit (1) that expresses an L-th order (L is an integer equal to or greater than 2) tensor as a product of multiple small tensors, each of which has fewer elements than the L-th order tensor, and performs a contraction process on the multiple small tensors to incorporate factor information present between the multiple small tensors.
