Abstract

To improve accuracy of recognizing a target object.SOLUTION: An information processing apparatus includes: a geometric transformation section that geometrically transforms at least one of a captured image obtained by an image sensor and a sensor image obtained by a sensor of which a sensing range at least partially overlaps a sensing range of the image sensor, to generate at least one of a geometrically transformed captured image and a geometrically transformed sensor image so that coordinate systems of the captured image and the sensor image are coincident with each other; and an object recognition section that recognizes an object on the basis of at least one of the geometrically captured image and the geometrically sensor image. The present technology is applicable to, for example, a system used to recognize a target object around a vehicle.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
