Abstract

To provide an encoder, a decoder, and a corresponding method for executing chroma deblocking for a block using joint chroma coding.SOLUTION: A deblocking method includes: determining a first chroma quantization parameter (QP) for a first chroma block based on a first luma QP of a first luma block of a first image block and a chroma QP mapping table for the first chroma block; determining a second chroma QP for a second chroma block based on a second luma QP of a second luma block of a second image block and a chroma QP mapping table for the second chroma block; determining a third chroma QP based on the first chroma QP and the second chroma QP; determining a threshold parameter based on the third chroma QP; and determining the maximum chroma filter length based on the threshold parameter.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 17
