Abstract

To provide an exterior accessory for a vehicle that can improve the appearance of a cover at night or the like by making the color of the cover stand out when a light source is turned on. [Solution] The vehicle exterior accessory includes a cover (12) that covers an opening of a housing, and is positioned so that the cover (12) is exposed to the outside of the vehicle. The cover (12) includes a transparent substrate layer (14) that is capable of transmitting light from a light source disposed within the housing, and a coloring layer (15) that is laminated in the thickness direction on the transparent substrate layer (14). The coloring layer (15) includes an exterior color layer (16) and a color adjustment layer (18) that emit different colors. The color adjustment layer (18) is positioned closer to the light source than the exterior color layer (16). The color adjustment layer (18) remains white even when white light passes through the color adjustment layer (18) and the exterior color layer (16).
