Abstract

To solve the problem in that checking, one by one, the presence of a correct image corresponding to a scan image to be inspected takes time even in a case where the registration of the correct image is definitely needed due to new registration.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus according to the present invention includes registering means that generates an image from a print job and registers the generated image as a correct image; and printing means that generates an image from the print job and prints the generated image. A scan image is formed by reading print on which an image is printed, and the print is inspected based on the scan image and the correct image corresponding to the scan image. The print job includes information about whether at least the correct image is registered or not.
