Light projecting unit and distance measuring device using the same

Abstract

To provide a light projection unit for a distance measuring device that can increase density of a light beam without separating the light beam.SOLUTION: A light projection unit is used for a distance measuring device that measures a time difference from radiation of light until detection of reflected light to calculate a distance to an object that reflects the light. The light projection unit has a light source array in which a plurality of light emitting devices is two-dimensionally arranged, and a light projection lens for adjusting a projection range of light emitted from the light source array. The light projection unit further has driving means that changes relative positions of the light source array and the light projection lens, and light source control means that turns on the light source array with the light source array being at a different position.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
