Abstract

To provide a device useful when a surgery user of a surgical instrument or his or her assistant attaches a light receiving device for light analysis to the instrument or an instrument component during surgery.SOLUTION: In a device (10), it is preferable to detachably attach a light receiving device to an instrument (11) or an instrument component (12). In particular, the device (10) can include the light receiving device and an electrode (15b) fixed to the light receiving device. The electrode (15b) can alternatively be made a part of the instrument (11). In particular, the device (10) can be an adaptor that can be detachably attached to the instrument (11) or the instrument component (12) for attaching the light receiving device to the instrument (11) or the instrument component (12), or can be configured as a part of the instrument (11).SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1a
