Abstract

To provide a sound volume control apparatus or a device for controlling multiple devices as a user wishes, with operability for transmitting an instruction only to a device to be operated.SOLUTION: A sound volume control apparatus includes: a user control receiving unit which acquires an instruction issued to a device to be operated; a device information acquisition unit which acquires, from each of multiple devices, device information including information on how a user hears the sound emitted by the device; a user intention interpretation unit which executes processing to interpret the intention of the user about sound volume of the sound emitted by the device, on the basis of the instruction acquired by the user control receiving unit and device information on each of the devices acquired by the device information acquisition unit; a device control decision unit which decides contents of control on at least a part of the devices, on the basis of the intention of the user obtained by interpretation of the user intention interpretation unit; and a device control unit which controls the device to be controlled on the basis of the contents of control decided by the device control decision unit.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
