Abstract

An electrode made of a conductive material such as gold is used as the cathode (gold sensor), and a multilayer deposition film of octacalcium phosphate (OCP) crystals is formed on the cathode by electrophoresis of an ethanol dispersion of OCP crystals. This multilayer deposition film is then ultrasonically cleaned to form a single layer deposition film of OCP crystals on the cathode. The OCP crystal film formed on the gold sensor surface has a layer structure in which hydrated and apatite layers are regularly repeated, and is a stable crystalline film in which specific crystal planes are oriented in specific directions, with the hydrated layer as the top layer.
