DNA constructs for cancer diagnosis and therapy

Abstract

The present invention relates to a DNA construct and a bacterial strain into which a recombinant vector containing the DNA construct has been introduced. The DNA construct of the present invention balances the expression levels of genes operably linked downstream of a first promoter and a second promoter in a host bacterial strain or cell, thereby enabling simultaneous cancer treatment and diagnosis. Furthermore, since the DNA construct of the present invention is unable to express the anticancer protein and reporter protein in the absence of doxycycline, by controlling the presence or absence of doxycycline treatment, the anticancer protein can be expressed at an appropriate dose for cancer treatment, and the size of the cancer can be monitored in real time based on the expression level of the reporter protein.
