Abstract
To suppress generation of a sense of discomfort felt by a driver.SOLUTION: A vehicle includes an engine, a torque converter connected to the engine, a transmission connected to the torque converter, and a control device for controlling an operation of the transmission. The control device has a control portion executing a shift hold control of inhibiting up-shift of the transmission according to lateral acceleration of the vehicle. The control portion permits the up-shift only by one shift stage in a case where prescribed conditions are established in the shift hold control, and the prescribed conditions include a condition that an index value indicating a rotating speed of an output shaft of the torque converter is more than a first threshold value.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
