Lens Assembly

Abstract

To provide a lens assembly which narrows the field of view of a camera and eliminates limitations on the availability of the camera. [Solution] The lens assembly includes: a lens having an inner surface and an outer surface; a lens barrel supporting the lens and having a lens barrel outer end and a lens barrel inner end separated by a longitudinal axis, with the lens positioned along the longitudinal axis so as to straddle the lens barrel outer end; a heater element longitudinally adjacent to the inner surface of the lens and located within the lens barrel, the heater element having heater element electrical leads extending radially and longitudinally from the heater element; and a carrier ring extending circumferentially around at least a portion of the lens barrel outer surface adjacent the lens barrel inner end, the carrier ring including at least one lead station radially aligned with the heater element electrical leads.
