Abstract

The present invention provides an initiator system for hardening a dental composition, the initiator system comprising a hydroperoxide component, a transition metal component, and C 3~11 and a polymerizable thiourea component that includes a thiourea moiety attached to a (meth)acrylate moiety through an alkyl chain. The invention also relates to dental compositions that include such initiator systems and a hardenable component, particularly a hardenable component that includes an acidic moiety.
