Abstract

To provide an image forming apparatus that can smoothly move an exposure head to an exposure position with high reliability.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus 1 comprises: a body housing 2; photoreceptors 5 that are each rotatable around a photoreceptor axis X5 inside the body housing 2; a rotary frame 9 that is supported on the body housing 2 and rotatable around a rotation axis X9; exposure heads 8 that each have a plurality of light emitting parts 8L and are supported on the rotary frame 9, the exposure heads 8 each movable by the rotation of the rotary frame 9 between an exposure position where it exposes the photoreceptor 5 and a retreat position where it is separated from the photoreceptor 5; and positioning mechanisms 4 that each determine the position of the exposure head 8 at the exposure position in the circumferential direction of the photoreceptor 5, the positioning mechanisms 4 each having a support part 40 that supports the exposure head 8 from the side closer to the rotation axis X9 and a pressing part 50 that can approach and separate from the support part 40 and presses the exposure head 8 toward the support part 40 from the side farther from the rotation axis X9.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 7
