To provide an information processing method for reducing processing complexity of intra-prediction by reducing the complexity of information processing in video encoding and decoding.SOLUTION: An information processing method includes: predicting an image component in a block to be encoded in inputted source video data on the basis of a prediction mode set in advance and belonging to a position dependent prediction combination (PDPC) application mode to acquire a first prediction block for the source video data; determining difference between the image component in the block to be encoded and a prediction value in the first prediction block to acquire a residual block; and writing the residual block and the prediction mode in a bit stream.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3A
