Abstract
A method for inspecting and validating a decontamination process using a decontamination system having a first component for a first step of the process, such as a pre-use step, and a second component for a subsequent second step of the process, such as a disinfection step, is disclosed. The method involves a user capturing a video stream from a work area where the decontamination process is performed, analyzing the video stream to determine when the first component is present in the work area and when the second component is present in the work area, and based on this determination, determining that the first and second components were provided in the correct order in the decontamination process and providing corresponding instructions to the user. The method also includes alerting the user to potential errors and / or recording data to provide an audit trail.
