To provide a commodity recommendation method and a system for recommending an appropriate commodity by reflecting the needs of a user.SOLUTION: A commodity recommendation method may include the steps of: identifying target story information including at least one of target object information and target intention information; acquiring a recommendation commodity category corresponding to the target story information, on the basis of sample story information including at least one of sample object information and sample intention information, and sample commodity categories corresponding to the sample story information; and extracting at least one recommendation commodity matched with the target story information, out of commodities belonging to the recommendation commodity category.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
