AI Technical Summary

Technical Problem

Conventional sliders for slide fasteners can interfere with the outer skin or other parts when the visible width of the zipper tape is narrowed due to differences in material and construction, leading to potential waviness and interference issues.

Method used

The slider design includes an upper member and a lower member forming a guide path with specific configurations to minimize interference by allowing the element rows to be raised and separated, using a separation guide surface and connecting guide portions that reduce the visible width without protrusions, enabling smooth movement and connection of fastener stringers.

Benefits of technology

The slider reduces interference with the surface material even when the visible width of the fastener tape is narrowed, ensuring smooth operation and minimizing resistance during separation and connection of fastener stringers.

Abstract

To provide a slider and a slide fastener capable of reducing interference with a skin or the like even when a visible width of a fastener tape is narrowed.SOLUTION: A slider 1 includes an upper member 40 and a lower member 50 that form a guide channel in an X direction. The upper member 40 includes a base portion 41 and a holder portion 42. The lower member 50 includes a separating guide portion 51 and a joining guide portion 61. The joining guide portion 61 includes a bottom wall portion 62 and left and right lateral wall portions 63, 64. The separating guide portion 51 includes a body 52 continuous with an intermediate portion of the bottom wall portion 62 in a Y direction, and a connection portion 53 connected to the base portion 41. On the separating guide portion 51, a separating guide face 55 is formed to be raised toward the upper member such that element rows 32 can be guided to be separated.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
