Abstract

The present invention relates to a beverage production system comprising a pack (10) having a readable code and a module (1) for producing a beverage from the pack, the module comprising a code reader, a movable fluid handling device (11) for introducing fluid into the pack and dispensing the beverage from the pack, and a pack holder assembly (2) comprising a pack chamber (22) and a movable interaction device (24), the movable interaction device being configured to move between a first interaction position in which the locking device interacts with a pack received in a chamber inside the pack holder assembly and a second release position in which the interaction device does not interact with the pack received in the chamber, the movable interaction device comprising a movable pressing device configured to press the readable code (102) of the pack against the code reader (4) when the movable interaction device is in the first fixed position.
