Abstract

To provide a cover rail for shelf post capable of fitting a shelf post in a stable posture, and suppressing deterioration of the shelf post.SOLUTION: A cover rail 1 for storing a shelf post 2 fitted to a back face board 3 for shelf, comprises: a base 1A provided between the back face board 3 and the shelf post 2; a pair of wall parts 1B which is erected from one / the other of both side edges of the base 1A in a longitudinal direction for forming a recess groove 4 for storing the shelf post 2; and skirt parts 1C extending from top parts of the pair of wall parts 1B outward of a width direction orthogonal to the longitudinal direction of the base 1A, the skirt parts being formed to face a bottom face of the base 1A and having a free end side on a terminal. The cover rail 1 is fitted to the back face board 3 by piercing a piercing fixture 6 from the base side toward the back face board 3, and the pair of the skirt parts 1C is configured so as to suppress an inclination of the base 1A in the width direction by contact of the free end sides of the skirt parts to the back face board 3.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
