Insulating rings and battery packs

Abstract

To implement an insulation ring that inhibits a structure and assembly work from being complicated to make it possible to obtain a battery pack having high safety.SOLUTION: An insulation ring 1 is attached to one end surface side of a battery pack including a group of cylindrical batteries provided in parallel. The insulation ring 1 includes an insulating base plate 10 and a wiring layer 20 provided thereon. The base plate 10 comprises: ring parts 11 corresponding to respective electrode surfaces of the group of cylindrical batteries; and coupling parts 12 coupling the ring parts. The wiring layer 20 is provided on the base plate 10's main surface 10b on a side opposite to a side to be made to face the group of cylindrical batteries. On the wiring layer 20, protection components such as a diode are mounted and connection of tabs to be connected to predetermined electrode surfaces of the group of cylindrical batteries and connection of lead wiring for connection between the predetermined electrode surfaces of the group of cylindrical batteries and for external connection of the battery pack is performed. Use of the insulation ring 1 inhibits a structure and assembly work from being complicated to make it possible to obtain the battery pack having high safety.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
