Abstract

To realize a high set-ability of a sheet onto a sheet loading unit irrespective of a difference in strength (inflexibility) of a sheet placed on the sheet loading unit or a difference in the number of sheets placed.SOLUTION: A sheet feed device comprises a sheet loading unit 103 on which a sheet is placed and a regulation unit 321 that is configured to move in a sheet-width direction and regulates a position in the sheet-width direction of the sheet on the sheet loading unit, further comprising a moving-load changing unit 325 that increases the moving load toward the sheet-width direction of the regulation unit as the weight of a sheet placed on the sheet loading unit increases.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
