Abstract

To provide a mixture separation method capable of efficiently separating a plurality of substances having different volatilities without needing the use of a defoaming agent.SOLUTION: There is provided a mixture separation method where a low volatile substance being a liquid or a solid at 20°C and a high volatile substance being a liquid at 20°C are separated by using a gas-liquid separator. The gas-liquid separator is provided with a casing, an impeller rotating in the casing and an inflow port, an exhaust port and a liquid discharge port respectively connected to the casing, where a vacuum pump is connected to piping connected to the exhaust port; a condenser is connected between the exhaust port and the vacuum pump; the mixture containing the low volatile substance and the high volatile substance is introduced from the inflow port to the gas-liquid separator; the low volatile substance is separated as the liquid and the solid by centrifugal force caused by the rotation of the impeller and flown out from the liquid discharge port; the high volatile substance is vaporized by reducing pressure in the casing due to the operation of the vacuum pump; and the high volatile substance is flown out from the exhaust port as a gas, cooled by the condenser and recovered as the liquid.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
