Abstract
To provide an electric dust collector which collects particulate matters in exhaust gas occurring due to combustion of a diesel engine, enables reduction of adhesion of the particulate matters in the exhaust gas to surfaces of insulators, and maintains insulation quality of the insulators.SOLUTION: One embodiment of the invention relates to an electric dust collector which collects particulate matters in exhaust gas occurring due to combustion of a diesel engine and includes: a cylindrical housing having an inlet into which the exhaust gas flows, and an outlet from which the exhaust gas flows and in which high voltage electrodes are disposed; multiple air purge parts which are provided on a side surface of the housing at intervals in an axial direction of the housing and supply a gas to the interior of the housing; and multiple insulators respectively provided at the air purge parts and support the high voltage electrodes. A flow rate of the gas supplied to each of the air purge parts is set according to a pressure of the exhaust gas in a position of each of the air purge parts.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
