Abstract

To estimate an occupant position while discriminating a plurality of occupants, while allowing an occupant position in a vehicle cabin to be more accurately estimated.SOLUTION: An occupant position estimation device comprises: a transmission control part 307 for transmitting radio waves from three UWB anchors 320 for transmitting / receiving radio waves in a cabin of an own vehicle; a reception value acquisition part 308 for acquiring a reception intensity of a radio wave received by each of the UWB anchors 320; a separation part 309 for separating a waveform indicating time variation of the reception intensities of multiple times of each of the UWB anchors 320, by occupant; a person number specification part 310 for specifying the number of occupants in a cabin, on the basis of the separated waveform; an occupant distance specification part 311 for specifying an occupant distance from each of the UWB anchors 320 by occupant according to the specified number of occupants, on the basis of timing when a variation characteristic to a person occurs, in the separated waveform; and an occupant position estimation part 312 for estimating an occupant position by occupant, on the basis of the specified occupant distance by occupant.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
