Abstract

To provide a rim brake and a brake shoe of a rim brake which are more simplified in an assembling work than the conventional one.SOLUTION: A rim brake 1 used for braking a rear wheel 5 of a vehicle 2 includes a brake shoe 15 fixed to a second caliper 12 and capable of friction braking in braking the vehicle 2, an electric generator 22 provided in the brake shoe 15 and capable of regeneratively braking in braking the vehicle 2, and a brake light 21 to which regenerative electric power generated by the electric generator 22 is supplied.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
