AI Technical Summary

Technical Problem

The installation of DTT receiving antennas is challenging due to the need for specialized knowledge about broadcasting stations and non-overlapping transmission channels, making it difficult to determine appropriate radio wave sources and adjust antenna directions effectively.

Method used

An antenna installation support system that includes a position acquisition unit, broadcasting station information storage, candidate extraction, and result output units to facilitate easy selection of broadcasting stations and transmission channels without specialized knowledge, using geospatial information and stored broadcasting station data to identify and display recommended candidate stations.

Benefits of technology

Enables efficient and accurate antenna direction adjustment by simplifying the selection process, reducing labor, and ensuring proper antenna orientation with minimal effort, even in areas lacking accumulated setting information.

Abstract

To provide a technique for reducing a labor and time in reception antenna installation work.SOLUTION: A position acquisition unit (S22) acquires information representing an installation position of an antenna that is a target of direction adjustment work. A candidate extraction unit (S24-S31) extracts candidate stations, which are candidates for a broadcasting station that is a transmission source of a broadcast wave to be received by the antenna, on the basis of, the acquired position information acquired by the position acquisition unit and broadcasting station information stored in a broadcasting station information storage unit. A result output unit (S32) outputs extraction results of the candidate extraction unit. The broadcasting station information includes at least broadcasting station position information indicating the position of the broadcasting station and transmission channel information indicating a channel used by the broadcasting station to provide broadcasting.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
