Abstract

To provide an inkjet printer that is configured to prevent minute ink droplets from adhering to a nozzle surface to properly prevent poor printing, and a control method of a jet head.SOLUTION: The inkjet printer is provided with: a jet head 3 that jets ink through a plurality of nozzle holes 33 formed on nozzle surfaces 31; a cap 11 that can be attached to the nozzle surfaces 31 of the jet head 3; a head driving mechanism 5 that moves the jet head 3 to a stand-by position P2 where the cap 11 can be detachably attached to the nozzle surfaces and a printing position P1 where printing data are obtained to perform printing; and a flushing control part 23 that when the jet head 3 is moved to the stand-by position P2, sequentially executes flushing operation of jetting the ink to the cap 11 through the plurality of nozzle holes 33 belonging to groups preliminarily grouped, for each of the groups.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
