AI Technical Summary

Technical Problem

Existing steam irons designed for use on an ironing board face challenges in generating steam when tilted or in an upward position due to water not reaching the nozzle, especially with limited liquid in the tank.

Method used

A steamer design with a drip port and intake port positioned on opposite sides of the tank, allowing liquid to flow to the vaporization chamber regardless of the steamer's orientation, combined with a transmission mechanism to control steam and water flow.

🎯Benefits of technology

Ensures consistent steam generation even when the steamer is tilted or in an upward position, maintaining efficient steam output.

Abstract

To provide a steamer that can supply liquid stored in a tank to a vaporization chamber to generate steam even when the steamer is tilted.SOLUTION: A steamer 1 comprises: a tank assembly 21 for storing water; a vaporization chamber 16 for receiving supply of the water from the tank assembly 21 and generating steam from the water; a steam button 34 for performing an operation of continuously discharging the steam; and a shot button 35 for performing an operation of brief single discharge of the steam. The tank assembly 21 is provided with a dripping port 63 through which the water is dripped from the tank assembly 21 during the operating of the steam button 34, and a suction port 74 through which the water is sucked from the tank assembly 21 during the operating of the shot button 35. The dripping port 63 and the suction port 74 are provided at a rear side part of the tank assembly 21.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
