AI Technical Summary

Technical Problem

The existing two-member connecting device for working machines requires manual visual confirmation of the alignment of insertion holes, which is difficult and time-consuming due to the high location of the pins, making it challenging to easily connect the first and second members.

Method used

A working machine with a connecting pin drive device and a marker member that moves to a visible position when engaged, allowing easy visual confirmation of the connection, facilitated by a movable marker member that rotates and protrudes above the members when the centering member engages with the connecting pin.

Benefits of technology

Enables easier and more efficient connection of the first and second members by providing a visible indication of engagement, reducing the time and effort required for alignment.

Abstract

To provide a work machine which can more easily connect a first member and a second member which are components of either a boom or an arm of the work machine.SOLUTION: A hydraulic shovel 1 comprises: a first member 21A having a first upper insertion hole 131U formed therein; a second member 21B having a second upper insertion hole 132U formed therein; an upper connecting pin 160U movably provided on the first member 21A; an upper connecting pin drive device provided on the first member 21A for moving the upper connecting pin 160U; an upper centering member 140 provided on the second member 21B; and a marker member 180 movably attached to the second member 21B. When the upper centering member 140 of the second member 21B is engaged with the upper connecting pin 160U of the first member 21A, the marker member 180 is pressed by the upper connecting pin 160U and moves to a predetermined position P1 that protrudes upward beyond the first member 21A and the second member 21B.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 11
