Abstract

To provide a potassium adsorbent suitable for at least one of biological fluid and dialysate, which exhibits high adsorptivity to potassium, even with the presence of sodium, calcium and magnesium, such as in biological fluid or dialysate, and a method for producing the same; a potassium adsorbing method using the potassium adsorbent; and a potassium adsorbing system using the same.SOLUTION: Provided herein is a potassium adsorbent for at least one of biological fluid and dialysate, with the molar ratio of silica to alumina (SiO2 / Al2O3 ratio) of 3 or more and 100 or less, and the potassium adsorbent containing a zeolite having at least an oxygen eight-membered-ring.SELECTED DRAWING: None
