Abstract

To provide a suction pad which enables a suction surface of a pad to contact with a workpiece even if the workpiece inclines relative to the suction surface of the pad.SOLUTION: A suction pad includes: a non-woven fabric sheet 18 having a uniform thickness and molded in a discoid shape; and a ring shaped retainer 28 which supports the non-woven fabric sheet on an attachment adapter 12 in a displaceable manner. A suction surface 20 is formed by a flat surface of the non-woven fabric sheet. The non-woven fabric sheet includes: a non-ventilation area at an outer periphery part; and a ventilation area excluding the outer periphery part. A density of the non-ventilation area is higher than a density of the ventilation area.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
