Abstract

To provide an image forming system that can prevent the occurrence of moire due to halftone processing already executed on image data to be printed and halftone processing to be executed during printing, and execute first halftone processing when moire is less likely to occur.SOLUTION: When incidental data included in image data 55 acquired during printing indicates that the image data is less influenced by moire (S87: NO), an MFP 11 executes image processing including pattern dither processing based on the image data 55 and performs printing by using generated print data (S89-S93). When the incidental data indicates that the image data is largely influenced by moire (S87: YES), the MFP 11 executes image processing including error diffusion processing based on the image data and performs printing by using the generated print data (S99-S103).SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6
