Abstract

To reduce the number of times of unnecessary acceleration and deceleration of an electric vehicle caused by a mismatch with a tendency of a driver.SOLUTION: In an electric vehicle control method which controls an electric vehicle driven with an electric motor, the electric vehicle control method comprising the steps of: learning a standard deviation of an accelerator pedal operation amount; and newly setting a deceleration characteristic at least at a time of an accelerator-off operation based on a result of learning, thereby causing the standard deviation of the accelerator pedal operation amount after setting to fall within a preset range.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
