Abstract

This invention provides a method for attaching a ring body to a columnar body with improved ease of attachment. [Solution] The method for attaching the ring body comprises the steps of preparing the ring body and attaching the ring body to the outer surface of the columnar body. The ring body has an annular first ring and a second ring extending in the circumferential direction. The first ring has a first end face and a second end face opposite the first end face in the axial direction. An engagement groove extending in the circumferential direction and recessed toward the first end face is formed on the second end face over the entire circumference of the first ring. The first ring and the second ring each have at least one first cut portion and at least one second cut portion in the circumferential direction.
