Abstract

To provide an image reading system, an image reading device, image reading method, and program, capable of reading a booklet as it is without cutting or the like, and reducing a user's job of rearranging images read from the booklet.SOLUTION: An image reading system includes an image reading apparatus and a reading control apparatus.A storage unit stores image data obtained by which double sided reading in a state of a booklet is opened. A cover sheet determination portion determines whether or not the image data is cover sheet image data. A main text determination portion determines image data of a back side of a cover sheet, as main text image data. An arrangement processing portion rearranges each image data H1, H2, CD at page order arrangement positions of the booklet. A file generation portion generates an image file from each image data H1, H2, CD rearranged by the arrangement processing portion. The arrangement processing portion divides the cover sheet image data H1, H2 into two parts corresponding to a pair of cover sheets to arrange the two parts at a front and an end, respectively, and arranges the main text image data CD between the front and the end.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 11
