Manufacturing method for multilayer films

Abstract

A long multilayer film comprising: an A layer comprising a crystalline resin (a); and a B layer comprising a material (b). Either the crystalline resin (a) or the material (b) is a material having a positive intrinsic birefringence and the other is a material having a negative intrinsic birefringence. The retardation and refractive indexes of the multilayer film and the B layer fulfil specified conditions. The multilayer film is ideally co-stretched. Also provided is a multilayer film production method that includes a step in which a specified long film (I) is brought in contact with a solvent.
