Abstract

A method for inspecting the appearance of a product according to one embodiment of the present invention may include the steps of acquiring and preprocessing an image capturing the appearance of a target object; extracting an area to be inspected within the preprocessed image and performing brightness correction on the extracted area to be inspected; extracting a group of defect candidates from the brightness-corrected image; performing image post-processing on the extracted group of defect candidates; and determining whether or not the target object is defective from the post-processed image.
