ToneLink: Canon Mode Communication System

Abstract

We provide acoustic communication that ensures stable and highly reliable communication. [Solution] The method uses a canon-mode communication scheme that sequentially transmits compressed and encoded digital audio signals as multiple time-delayed streams of the same content, thereby mutually compensating for signal degradation due to loss or reflection. On the receiving side, loss compensation and decoding are performed by integrating the multiple streams, and the method can be applied to cooperative communication by a single or multiple unmanned aircraft. Furthermore, the transmission time difference can be optimized according to environmental conditions and transmission location.
