Abstract

The present invention relates to a secondary battery comprising: an electrode assembly; a case having an opening on one side and housing the electrode assembly therein; a vent coupled to the opening of the case; and a first current collecting plate electrically connected to the electrode assembly, the first current collecting plate being welded to at least one of the case and the vent for electrical connection.
