Abstract

To provide a display device cabinet having structure that can suppress damage to a decorative layer provided on a front panel, and a method for manufacturing the display device cabinet.SOLUTION: There is provided a display device cabinet that is configured in that: a front panel 20 having a panel body 21 made of a glass plate and a frame 10 are integrated together by an insert molding method. The frame 10 is formed from an elastomer. A tight-contact edge portion 14a located on a center side of the front panel of an inner surface contact surface 14 formed on an inner surface support portion 12 of the frame 10 is provided at a position overlapping both a decorative layer 22 and an adhesive functional resin layer 23. As a result, stress can be suppressed from acting directly on the decorative layer 22 from the tight-contact edge portion 14a.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
