Abstract
To achieve a structure for balancing a cushioning property, fitness, and strength while ensuring a design property in a backrest of a type in which a backrest plate is exposed.SOLUTION: A backrest plate 5 is made of a soft material such as elastomer and has a lumbar support part 26 protruding forward, a main support part 27 continuing from the lumbar support part, and a lower support part 28. In each support part 26, 27, 28, punched holes 29, 30, 31 are formed in multiple stages and rows. The punched hole 29 in a part of the lumbar support part 26 is smallest, and dimensions of the punched holes 30, 31 become larger toward the top and the bottom. Since an opening area of the punched hole 29 at a part of the lumbar support part 26 is small, a lumbar support function is not impaired by ensuring necessary strength while retaining softness in making contact with a body of a seated person.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6
