Abstract
To provide a liquid ejecting apparatus which can reduce consumption of absorbing members.SOLUTION: A liquid ejecting apparatus comprises: an ejection part 23 which has a nozzle face 25 where one or more nozzles 24 are opened and performs printing on a medium 99 by ejecting liquid onto the medium from the nozzles; a carriage 22 on which the ejection part is mounted and which reciprocates in a scanning direction X; a drying part 43 which is mounted on the carriage and dries the liquid ejected onto the medium by the ejection part; and a reception part 32 for receiving liquid discharged from the nozzles in maintenance of the ejection part. The reception part has an absorbing member 33 for absorbing the liquid, and the drying part dries the absorbing member when the ejection part is located at a stop position P6 where it stops while performing printing.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
