Abstract

To improve controllability of a vehicle height after a piston reaches a limit position in a movable range, in a suspension system for adjusting the vehicle height by displacing the piston in a cylinder filled with a fluid.SOLUTION: A suspension system includes a control unit that calculates an amount of movement of a piston from a reference position in a cylinder, based on a lateral acceleration applied to the vehicle, and controls a drive unit that displaces the cylinder, based on the calculated amount of movement. The control unit calculates the amount of movement so as to restrict rolling of a vehicle body in accordance with outward lateral acceleration in a turning direction of the vehicle; and in a saturated returning state that is a state after the amount of movement reaches an upper limit value and a steering direction is reversed, the control unit immediately reduces the amount of movement when the lateral speed becomes smaller than a returning lateral acceleration that is the lateral acceleration applied when the vehicle enters the saturated returning state, based on a post-returning arithmetic expression generated based on the returning lateral acceleration.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
