Abstract

To provide a reverse input cutoff clutch capable of improving the durability while suppressing an increase in the manufacturing cost, compared to a conventional technique.SOLUTION: The reverse input cutoff clutch includes a housing, an input member, an output member, a pair of engagement elements 5, and an elastic member 6. The elastic member 6 is elastically held between the output member and the engagement elements 5 for energizing the engagement element 5 outside in a first direction D1 so that the engagement elements 5 come near a pressed surface. The elastic member 6 has an evasion part for avoiding the contact with the engagement elements 5 at their corner parts formed at base ends of boss parts 50, and also has a positioning part 63 for abutting on side faces 57 of the boss parts 50 to position the elastic member 6.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
