Abstract
To accurately record multiple pieces of data related to vehicle status while controlling the increase in capacity of a storage device required for data recording, and to enable easy restoration of time-series data of the multiple pieces of data from the recorded data.SOLUTION: A data recording device according to the present disclosure records a plurality of pieces of mutually different data concerning a state of a vehicle, each of which is acquired at a predetermined sampling cycle, at a reference cycle longer than the sampling cycle, acquires the plurality of pieces of data at the reference cycle, acquires the plurality of pieces of data during the reference cycle at a sub-cycle that is equal to or greater than the sampling cycle but shorter than the reference cycle, and stores the plurality of pieces of data acquired in the reference cycle and the plurality of pieces of supplementary data corresponding to the respective pieces of data acquired in the sub-cycle together in a storage device at each sampling timing at the recording timing corresponding to the reference cycle.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
