To recover contacts in a negative electrode layer.SOLUTION: A battery system includes a control device. The control device is configured to perform a first control and a second control. The first control includes placing an all-solid-state battery in an over-discharge state. The second control includes pressurizing the all-solid-state battery in the over-discharge state. The all-solid-state battery includes a positive electrode layer, a solid electrolyte layer, and a negative electrode layer, in this order. The negative electrode layer includes silicon grains.
