Abstract

To optimize execution or suppression of a notification to a driver.SOLUTION: A control apparatus for a vehicle comprises: a first notification unit that, upon detecting a moving object approaching a predetermined region on a traveling path of a host vehicle, notifies a driver of the approach of the moving object; a second notification unit that, upon detecting a stationary object present in a predetermined region on the travel path, notifies the driver of the approach to the stationary object; and a notification suppression unit that suppresses the notification by the first notification unit if an attribute of the mobile object is a first attribute in a case where a stationary object has been detected and a specific condition holds, the specific condition being that the mobile object is detected at a location farther than the stationary object, and suppresses the notification by the first notification unit only when the stationary object is detected over a predetermined range in the width direction of the host vehicle in a case where the attribute of the mobile object is a second attribute different from that of the first attribute.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
